Several of our vendors will sponsor hospitality suites in the hotel, serving a variety of hors d’oeuvres and drinks. All registered conference participants and registered guests are welcome to take part in the event.

ABD stands for Associated Business Division and is another term for the exhibitors and vendors that help sponsor the meeting. Please take the opportunity to visit with our sponsors. This conference could not be a success without them!

The ABD Event will be held on Monday night, April 8th at the Ironclad Brewery, less than a half mile walk away at 115 N. 2nd Street.

The theme is BEACH! Dress in your favorite beachy attire – bring out the floral shirts, flip flops and sun hats.

Music will be provided by the 52nd St. Band.

There will be food, fellowship and fun!

LAC stands for Local Arrangements Committee. These individuals have put in a great deal of effort to make this conference successful. Be sure to thank them if you get the chance! Annual Meeting LAC

Tickets help control the cost of the meeting since there are various types of registrations. If you believe you should have received a ticket for a particular event, please visit the registration desk.

Love a good game of trivia? The Traffic Bowl is a lively competition that features students from schools in each state competing for scholarship prizes. Please come show the students your support.

Board Meetings are typically open to elected officers and delegates only; however, Business Meetings are open to everyone! This is a chance to catch up on the latest developments on the Board and their agenda for the coming year. If you’re interested in learning about the inner workings of the Southern District, please consider attending.

To manage the capacity and limitations of certain venues, we do require advance registration for Technical Tours. You can register for a tour via the registration link on our website. A list of tour options will be provided to those currently signed up. If space remains at the beginning of the conference, sign-up sheets will be provided at the registration desk on a first-come, first-serve basis for the remaining spaces.

There will be several ways for tracking attendance at sessions during the meeting. A meeting application for smartphones will be employed. By checking in through the app we can track attendance and provide documentation. In addition, typically sign-in sheets are circulated during each session for a hard copy record of attendance and sent out following the meeting. For anyone seeking AICP continuing education credit hours, sessions that qualify should be noted in the final program and will be online to enter into your tracking sheet.

We will follow the NC Department of Health and Human Services protocol in place at the time of the meeting: https://covid19.ncdhhs.gov/guidance.

That’s awesome and we are glad you are joining us! Yes, in fact, we have a whole other page dedicated to first-time attendees here.
